ERP Rates To Be Lowered During June School Holidays

SINGAPORE

There will be shorter VEP operating hours during the same period, LTA said

Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates will be lowered by between 50 cents and S$1 during the upcoming June school holidays, starting from this Saturday, said the Land Transport Authority yesterday.

This means that some motorists will effectively not have to pay ERP at certain gantries during specified periods.

The revised rates will apply until June 26, after which they will revert to pre-holiday rates.

The next ERP rate review will take place in August.

There will also be shorter Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) operating hours, from 2am to 12pm, from this Saturday until June 26.

Drivers of foreign-registered cars and motorcyclists will not need to pay VEP fees if they drive into Singapore after 12pm and leave by 2am the following day on weekdays.

Outside of the June and December school holidays, VEP fees are charged between 2am and 5pm on weekdays. VEP fees remain non-chargeable on Saturdays, Sundays and Singapore public holidays.
