KG ANGGEREK DESA, BERAKAS

Co-organisers of the highly successful Hope & Grow Charity Auction, Borneo Insider's Guide (biG) Magazine and eBunda by BAG Networks recently presented funds amounting to $13,235 to two charity organisations to be channelled to assist women and families, especially single mothers in need of financial support.

In a ceremony held at the premises of BAG Networks in Anggerek Desa, Wan Zainal Abidin Shazali, Publisher of biG Magazine and Haslina binti Haji Md Taib, Chief Executive Officer of BAG Networks jointly handed over donations of $6,617.50 each to representatives from the Society for Community Outreach & Training (SCOT) and Annur Harapan Centre.

With the theme 'crowd funding fashionably', the funds were raised from a series of auctions as well as cash donations from various organisations and private individuals, according to a press release.

Zulaikha Mat Zini of the eBunda team at BAG Networks said, "We are pleased to note that more than 100 donated items ranging from haute couture and luxurious accessories to family treats and services were snapped up in the auctions. This would not have been possible, without the generosity of our bidders, donors and supporters."

"On behalf of the eBunda team, we are also very grateful to be able to collaborate with biG Magazine, for this opportunity to lend a helping hand to women and families in need," she concluded.
