Israk Mikraj or the ascension of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to heaven provides a valuable lesson that includes the importance of obligatory prayers, for Muslims to enhance their piety.

The theme for this year's nationwide Israk Mikraj celebration is 'Prayer; Key to Heaven'.

This was highlighted at a special talk conducted by Awang Muhd Anuar bin Haji Bahar, a second year student from the Faculty of Syariah and Law, for students and staff of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA).

Present as the chief guest was the Rector of UNISSA, Dr. Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal.

A Khatam Al-Quran for the staff and students was also held.
