200 Golfers Participated in Baiduri Masters

A total of 200 golfers took part in the 21st Baiduri Masters yesterday.
By the end of the afternoon session, no new contender emerged to challenge the reigning 12 players vying for the chance to don the coveted Green Jacket and Challenge Trophy.
In the lead, the only player to beat the course with a two under grossing 69 was Moksin Jinaidi. Tied in second and third places were Tony Haji Karim and Idris Osman respectively with a gross of 71.
With a gross of 72 were Haji Omar Haji Asmat, Ruddy Yussof, All Haji Rashid, Chu Vui Kiat, defending champion Seruji Haji Setia and Zulhilmi Rosli.
Rounding of the top 12 who will be competing for the title of Baiduri Masters 2016 champion, the Green Jacket and Challenge Trophy are Pengiran Haji Ahmad Zaki, Kalali Haji Munchit and Johari Ahmad, with a gross of 73.
The contenders will be teeing off from the black tee box today at 6.45am.
Besides the Baiduri Masters Green Jacket and Challenge Trophy, the golfers also have the chance to score the fantastic hole-inone prizes comprising three luxury cars and two cash prizes of B$20,000 each.
Other than the Porsche Cayenne for Hole 2, other hole-in-one prizes on 'offer this year are the Mini Cooper for Hole 5, the brand new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer for Hole 14 and B$20,000 cash each for Holes 12 and 16.
Additionally, there will be novelty prizes up for grabs for the nearest to the pin throughout the tournament and also longest drive as well as lucky draw prizes.
As with every year, proceeds raised during the Baiduri Masters will be donated to local charity organisations that help persons with special needs.
