Slovakia shocked World Cup winners Germany with an impressive 3-1 win in a rain-swept Augsburg on Sunday evening.

Mario Gomez gave the hosts the lead from the penalty spot after Juraj Kucka fouled Mario Gotze, but Slovakia captain Marek Hamsik and Michal Duris turned the friendly on its head with two goals in three minutes before the heavens opened at half-time.

A delay to the start of the second half, caused by the weather, did not knock the Slovakians out of their stride and Kucka added a third, with the ball squirming through the legs of substitute goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, to give Germany coach Joachim Low plenty to ponder.

Nolito staked a strong claim for a place at Euro 2016 squad as he scored twice to help Spain down Bosnia-Herzegovina 3-1 in Switzerland.

He struck twice inside the opening 18 minutes, with Emir Spahic halving the deficit on the half-hour mark before being dismissed for violent conduct before the break.

Chelsea's Pedro secured the victory with a close-range goal deep into second-half stoppage-time.

Macedonia notched up a 3-1 win over Azerbaijan in Austria.

They took the lead after 19 minutes when Marjan Radeski shot low into the corner and doubled the advantage before the break thanks to Goran Pandev, who took advantage of some slack defending by Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan halved the deficit from the penalty spot through Afran Ismayilov after a handball, but Macedonia wrapped up the win when Ilija Nestorovski tapped home in the last minute.

Albania also won 3-1, defeating Qatar despite falling behind in the opening minute.

Abdelkarim Hassan scored after Rodrigo Tabata had set him up, but Albania were soon level when Arlind Ajeti fired an effort into the top corner from an angle and led when Ermir Lenjani struck before the break.

And they added a third thanks to Armando Sadiku, who beat the goalkeeper with an effort from outside the area.

Lithuania defeated Estonia 2-0, never looking back after Nerijus Valskis put them in front after 28 minutes.

Fedor Cernych added a second when he finished off a neat move on the stroke of half-time.
