BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

Growing Minds, with its team of skilled interventionists with bachelors and masters in Education, Special Education, Physical Therapy and certified intervention providers approved by the Ministry of Education (MoE), is in the process of implementing speech therapy with the aim of supporting family members as they meet the challenges of autism.

Growing Minds is a learning centre that caters to children from ages three to 12 with Autism Spectrum Disorder and they believe that every child has the ability to reach their maximum potential.

This can be reached by teaching children skills that will facilitate their development and help them achieve the greatest degree of independence and enhance their quality of life.

Using ABLLS-R (Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills) as a tool to help identify language and other critical skills that are in need of intervention, several days are spent getting to know the child and completing a baseline of their current skill level, once the child is enrolled to the centre.

Once this is done, goals in each skill areas are determined by starting with the lowest skill level and moving upwards where typically only one or two goals will be set for each skill area at a time as goals are mastered and new goals are set accordingly.
