Bruneian Man Fined for Possession of Smuggled Cigarettes, Chicken Wings

A Bruneian was ordered by the Magistrate's Court to pay a fine of B$2,000, or risk four months' jail in default of payment, after he pleaded guilty to possession of smuggled cigarettes and chicken wings.
The fifty-one-year-old defendant, Muhammad bin Abdullah, was found by a Customs examiner at the Kuala Lurah Control Post carrying five cartons of cigarettes and five packets of frozen chicken wings which he did not declare on importation at 10.15am on February 25, 2015.
Senior Magistrate Lailatul Zubaidah binti Hussain presided in the case.
