Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) welcomed the Nepal Rastra Bank at the AMBD head office, Commonwealth Drive, Bandar Seri Begawan on Monday.

Present to welcome the Nepal Rastra Bank delegation was Haji Adi Marhain bin Haji Leman, Assistant Managing Director (Monetary Operations) AMBD and senior officials from AMBD.

The delegation was led by Chinta Mani Siwakoti, Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank.

The Nepal Rastra Bank delegation is on a four-day working visit to AMBD to understand and learn from AMBD Payment and Settlement Unit's experience in implementing and operating its payment systems.

With AMBD's recent installation of a modern Payment and Settlement System infrastructure and the adoption of the ISO 20022 standards, the Nepal Rastra Bank views Brunei Darussalam as the most suitable reference for their plan to modernise their Payment and Settlement System.
