20 participants presented their reading in the final of the National Al-Quran Memorising and Understanding Competition, yesterday.

 

The competition was held at the Musyawarah Hall of the International Convention Centre in Berakas.

 

Present was Awang Haji Mohd Sunadi bin Haji Buntar, Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

 

The competition aims to motivate the participants to read and understand the Quran correctly as well as to make a culture of reading Al-Quran in their daily life.

 

The competition is an annual project of the Ministry of Religious Affairs which is conducted by the Al-Quran Teaching and Dissemination Centre of MABIMS, with the cooperation of the Prison Department.
