Bruneian Involved in Human Trafficking a Free Man

The Intermediate Court yesterday acquitted a local man of charges of engaging in people smuggling activities.
Muhammad Zulfadilah bin Harun, 28, formerly faced two charges of engaging in people smuggling activities by assisting the unlawful entry of two foreign nationals into Malaysia at Sungai Tujoh Contropl Post at 7.15pm on May 12 2015.
Judge Pengiran Hajah Hanani binti Pengiran Haji Metussain presided in the case yesterday.
Co-accused, 46-year-old Ali Rahman bin Haji Daud, had pleaded guilty to the same offence and was sentenced on September 12 2015 to a jail term of three years and four months with three strokes of the cane.
