The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Brunei Darussalam recently hosted a 2016 K-Dream Night at The Rizqun International Hotel.
The event was held to celebrate members of the Korean Culture Club (KCC), which now comprises 10 activity groups.
This group comprises students from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Cosmopolitan College of Commerce and Technology (CCCT), Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School, Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College, Sengkurong and Meragang Sixth Form Centres, Kemuda Institute, Politeknik Brunei and X runei K-Pop Lover Family Group.
Every club was given the opportunity to showcase their performances ranging from Korean traditional dance to K-Pop entertainment at the colourful night.
K-Dream night served to gather all the KCCs from different schools and academic organisations and to unite them in a cultural bond.
This year's event also welcomed the latest addition to the KCC family from Politeknik Brunei, established in 2015.
The Korean Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, Cho Won-myung in his remarks expressed his pleasant surprise to see the amount of talents showed in all the performances almost equaling to K-pop entertainers.
The Korean ambassador also reminded all KCC members that they are living proofs of the existing strong bilateral relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Korea.
