SM RIPAS Celebrated Earth Day

In conjunction with the Earth Day, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Secondary School (SMRIPAS) celebrated the event with a series of activities.

 

As the Ramadhan month is approaching, the event started with thanksgiving prayer and Tahlil.

 

Hajah Hartiny binti Haji Mohiddin, chairperson cum Head of Department English Language of SM RIPAS' delivered her welcoming speech.


It was then followed by the presentation on endangered wild animals in Borneo by OneStopBrunei team.

 

The endangered wild animals included wild boar, Pengolin, Ukang', reticulated python, leopard cat, Salt water crocodile, Viper, etc were introduced and their brief natural habits. It was followed by quiz to the students to test their knowledge in the local natural habitat.


Tree-planting activities were held in the different zones in school. Different flowering and fruit trees such as Pokok Durian Pokok Mambangan' etc were planted in front of surau, canteen, etc.

Mini Reptiles show was shown next.

Albino Phyton and Iguana, etc were shown in the exhibition.


It was followed by poster colouring competition opened to all students. Earth day quiz was given followed by prize competition.
