In conjunction with the holy fasting month of Ramadhan, Pengiran Isteri Hajah Mariam Secondary School (SMPIHM), Serasa, hosted a Dikir ceremony for its new converts last weekend at the SMPIHM Surau.

The dikir was held to celebrate newly converted Year 11 student and family members - Dayang Nur Azyan Safiyyah binti Ahmad Nur Dahlan, her father Awang Ahmad Nur Dahlan bin Muhammad Adam and brother Awang Muhammad Nur Aryan bin Abdullah Dagat.

The function began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah by Cikgu Haji Azrin bin Tunjang and Dikir Marhaban by Year 11F students, before continuing on with presentations of souvenirs and donations from the school community by Deputy Principal (Administration), Cikgu Haji Mahleyudin bin Haji Metussin.

The event ended with a recitation of Surah Yaasiin by Cikgu Ali Zainul bin Haji Ali Amat.
