Brute Swan Assaults Motorists in Rush Hour Standoff

A commuter in Warwickshire is lucky to be alive after recording a fierce standoff between a swan and a small black Ford Fiesta during rush hour traffic.

The swan repeatedly attacks the car, forcing the driver to back down and reverse up the road.

But the swan did not relent, simply moving on to the next car in the queue and pecking the drivers door before the occupants manage to flee the bird’s bloodlust.

Erald Ratnathilaka, who lives in Warwick, described his amusement as he witnessed the winged assault: ‘It was around 8:30am on Friday morning, so there was a big queue of people who must have been driving to work. There are offices close by, so there must have been a lot of people who were late.’

‘It was very funny to watch. After I stopped filming the swan even attacked my car.’

‘I see the same swans in the area regularly, but I have never seen them behave like this before. They are obviously protective parents.’
