His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, yesterday sent a congratulatory message to Benigno C Aquino III, President of the Republic of the Philippines, as well as the Government and people of the Republic of the Philippines on the occasion of its 118th Anniversary of the
Independence.

In the message, His Majesty expressed his appreciation for the president's personal contributions in strengthening the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two countries and peoples.

In ending the message, His Majesty extended his kind regards and best wishes to Benigno C Aquino III for a happy celebration.
