Ministry of Religious Affairs Holds Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony

The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) organised a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony yesterday, to mark the closing of the Tedarus programme for the month of Ramadhan, which began on June 8.
The ceremony was hosted by the Minister of Religious Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman.
Also present were Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs; Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Mohd Yusof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs; and Awang Haji Harun bin Haji Junid, the Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs; and Awang Roslan bin Haji Taja'ah, the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administrative and Financial Affairs) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The readings of Takhtim Al-Quran and Tahlil were led by Awang Zulkifli bin Haji Murat, the official representative of the Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque, while the Doa Khatam was recited by Awang Haji Hashim bin Abdullah, a lecturer at the Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (ITQSHHB).
The event continued with the reading of the Doa Peliharakan Sultan, and concluded with the breaking of fast and mass Maghrib prayer.
