Today’s the day that we recognise dads for everything they do for us.

Even if they can be annoying, embarrassing and a walking health hazard at times.

So let’s celebrate the glorious imperfection of dads everywhere with this collection of funny clips.

The compilation posted on YouTube shows off some of the best videos of dads failing with spectacular consequences.

‘What can be better than Disney World, we love it so much’ grins one dad who’s hanging out with his kid in a lake, moments before a huge wave crashes on top of them.

Many of the clips end with children injured – usually due to dads showing off and sometimes a result of sheer dad incompetence.

The video also shows something most of us already know – that dads aren’t averse to accidentally injuring themselves in ridiculous ways either.

Most of the time, they are trying and failing to relive former glories, leading to falls from skateboards and failed leaps into swimming pools.

But although the video features an awful lot of fails, they have another common theme.

In many of the clips, dads are playing with or trying to impress their kids, occasionally going above and beyond the call of duty.
