Autoriti Monetari Brunei Darussalam (AMBD) held a Tahlil ceremony at the Royal Mausoleum yesterday.

The Tahlil was held to pay respects to the late parents of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman.

Among those present were Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, the Minister of Education in his capacity as Deputy Chairman of AMBD; Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and the Second Minister of Finance; Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Roselan bin Haji Mohamad Daud, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hisham bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Deputy Minister of Finance; and Dato Seri Setia Haji Metussin bin Haji Baki, Syariah High Court Judge and member of the AMBD Board of Directors.

Also present were other members of the AMBD Board of Directors, as well as male officers and staff of AMBD.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Yaasiin, before continuing with the Tahlil led by Imam Faizal bin Rosli @ Janif, Imam of Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah Mosque, Kampong Tamoi.
