A local man fined B$1,000 by the Magistrate's Court yesterday after he pleaded guilty to abusing drugs, and was ordered to settle the fine within three months, or serve one month in prison.

Armie @ Ray bin Abdullah was found to be in possession of 1.1197 grammes of meth in 1.4628 grammes of crystalline substance, at the Kampong Bolkiah 'A' Mosque at 3.15pm, on June 19, 2012.

Magistrate Azrimah binti Abdul Rahman heard from DPP Yvonne Lim that Armie had been apprehended in a target raid by officers from the Narcotics Control Bureau, after they found drugs on the floor just below where he was standing when he was arrested.
