The guest of honour, Dr. Hajah Mas Suriaia Wati binti Haji Abdul Hamid, Acting Deputy Surveyor General, said: "The Quality Control Circle has been instilled as a culture at the Surveyor Department and has helped the department improve its efficiency and help solve problems in line with the IS09001 certificate since 1997."

She recalled the success of the department during the Civil Service Day, in which the Survey Department took home the special KKC award in 2015 as well as in 2014 and 2012.

"The guidance and monitoring done by facilitators are vital and I believe that through more active participation from the group's facilitator, the Quality Control Circle groups will be able to produce creative, innovative and out-of-the-box solutions," she said.
