Man Sentenced to Four Months' Jail for Stealing Exotic Pet Bird

A local man was jailed for four months after he pleaded guilty to stealing an exotic pet bird and a gas cylinder.


Abdul Azim bin Matussin, 27, took the White-rumped Shama bird in its cage from a house in Kampong Selayun at 10am on March 20, 2016.


On May 5, 2016 the defendant stole a gas cylinder from a house in Perpindahan Panchor Mengkubau.


Magistrate Hajah Ervy Sufitriana binti Haji Abdul Rahman presided over the case prosecuted by DPP Dayangku Didi binti Pengiran Latiff.
