A total of 6,383 people from two districts turned out as the presentation of personal Hari Raya contributions, or 'Kurnia', of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam continued yesterday.

The presentations took place at Istana Nurul Iman for the Brunei-Muara District and at Community Hall Complex in Pekan Bangar for the Temburong District.

In the Brunei-Muara District, 5,618 individuals received the personal gifts of His Majesty in separate ceremonies held at the Reception Hall of the Istana Nurul Iman and Baitur Rahmah.

Present to hand over the gifts as personal representatives of His Majesty were His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik, Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi'atul Adawiyyah binti Pengiran Haji Bolkiah, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah.

Upon arrival at the Reception Hall of the Istana Nurul Iman, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Raabi'atul Adawiyyah were greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ibrahim, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and the Second Minister of Finance, as well as Yang Berhormat Dato Paduka Dr. Awang Haji Zulkarnain bin Haji Hanafi, Minister of Health.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, led by YB Pehin Datu Imam Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Hamid bin Bakal, a Legislative Council member.

Meanwhile at Baitur Rahmah, Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Majeedah Nuurul Bolkiah and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah were greeted upon arrival by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs, as well as Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, led by Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar, Chief Syar'ie Judge.

The presentation of the personal gifts of His Majesty in the Temburong District was held at the Belalong Hall of the Community Hall Complex in Pekan Bangar.

Present to hand over the gifts was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen as a personal representative of His Majesty.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen was greeted by Dato Paduka Awang Haji Ali bin Haji Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism.

The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, led by Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Setia Raja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Suhaili bin Haji Mohiddin, Syariah Appeal Court Judge.

A total of 765 individuals received the personal gifts of His Majesty at the ceremony.

On Tuesday, 10,901 people received His Majesty's personal gifts in concurrent ceremonies held in three districts.

Last year, a total of 16,479 Bruneians received the monarch's contribution.
