Female Fire-Fighters of '87 Conducted Tahlil for Deceased Squad Members

A delegation of the 1987 first female personnel of Fire and Rescue Department held a recitation of Surah Yaasiin, Tahlil and Doa Arwah for the late Abkw.159 Hajah Safiah binti Haji Johari and the late Aso Rohani binti Haji Jais, members of the squad who have passed away.
The ceremony was held at the Pangkalan Jalur Muslim Cemetery in Kampong Lubok Pulau, Tutong for the late Hajah Safiah and at Kampong Sungai Panga Muslim Cemetery in Sungai Kebun for the late Aso Rohani.
The recitation of Tahlil was led by So Muhamad Ali bin Hassan and Abks.80 Kamalzurzaman bin Musa.
Also attending the ceremony were several officers and staff from the Fire and Rescue Department, female personnel from the Sungai Liang Operation 'B' Branch and Tutong Fire Station Operation 'E' Branch as well as retired female personnel of the department.
Also in attendance was Hajah Kasmah binti Haji Mohiddin, the wife of the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as family members.
The religious activitywas held in conjunction with the month of Ramadhan.
The delegation plans to organise a similar event next week for other members of the squad who have passed away.
