Some 70 officers and staff members of the Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB) Municipal Department yesterday took part in the closing ceremony for the Tedarus and Khatam Al-Quran ceremony that took place at the Ash-Shaliheen Mosque.

Taking part in the ceremony was Haji Ali bin Mat Yassin, Acting Chairman of the BSB Municipal Board, as well as senior officers, officers and staff members of the department.

The event commenced with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by the presentation of donations to the orphans; children of the department's staff who have passed away.

It then continued with a mass recitation of verses from the Al-Quran and Takhtim as well as Doa Khatam and Doa Tahlil led by the Imam of AshShaliheen Mosque.

The ceremony was further enlivened with a Dikir Marhaban performance by the officers and staff of BSB Municipal Department and a Doa Selamat was recited by the Imam.

The event ended with mass Zohor prayer.
