BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
More Muslims in the country visit the graves of their loved ones during the month of Ramadhan and Hari Raya Aidil Fitri, especially in the morning of the first day of Hari Raya.
However, such visits or Ziarah Kubur is not confined to the festive season but is encouraged at any time of the year.
In the sermon, prayer leaders said visiting the graves is also a way to make the departed souls happy, especially the parents.
Visitors should greet or say the 'salam' to the departed ones and supplicate to Allah the Almighty so that God blesses and forgives them.
They added that the prayers or supplications of a pious child are always accepted by Allah.
The Imam or prayer leaders also reminded the congregants of the proper ethics in visiting the graves and not to do any form of misconduct during their visit.
