Several victims of recent house fires yesterday received donations from Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (Yayasan).

According to a press release, the Managing Director of Yayasan, Awang Haji Brahim bin Haji Ismail handed over a total of B$27,900 to six families.

From Kampong Sungai Kebun, the recipients are Dayang Siti Jarah binti Haji Ering, Dayang Norsharizahwati binti Mohd Said, Awang Haji Md Jaafar bin Haji Awang Ering and DayangRosita binti Mohammad.

From Kampong Kilugus National Housing Scheme in Lumapas, the recipients are Awang Amiruddin bin Haji Mumin and Awang Hamdan bin Haji Daud.

Yayasan is a platform for His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and members of the royal family to show their care and concern for His Majesty's subjects while shaping a community that is prosperous and harmonious.

One of the objectives of the establishment of Yayasan is to give assistance to the less fortunate such as those affected by house fires and collapsed houses.
