Court Fixed Trial Dates for Indonesian Teacher Accused of Sexual Assault

The Intermediate Court yesterday fixed the trial of an Indonesian teacher who is accused of sexually assaulting a student to run from December 12-21, 2016.
The defendant, whose name was not made public to protect the victim's identity, allegedly held the student's body tight, kissing her lips and touching her chest at the school at 11am on June 2, 2016.
DPP Rozaimah Abdul Rahman's charge against the defendant carries a minimum jail term of three years and maximum term of 10 years with whipping.
Defence counsel Rozaiman Abdul Rahman is representing the defendant.
Judge Pengiran Masni binti Pengiran Bahar presided over the case.
