Traffic Cop Injured Directing Traffic

MIRI

 

A traffic police personnel escorting state Sukma officials was run over by a car at the traffic light intersection in Jalan Merbau here about 6pm yesterday.

 

It is learned that the traffic personnel had stopped in the middle of the intersection ordering traffics to stop to allow the Sukma officials to pass through when he was hit by a car.

 

He sustained bodily injuries and is warded at Miri Hospital.

 

It is understood that the traffic personnel was escorting the Sukma officials to their hotel in the city centre from Miri Indoor Stadium.

 

Investigation on the incident is underway.
