An office of a private company in Kampong Tunggulian in the Belait District was destroyed in a fire yesterday afternoon.

The Fire and Rescue Department received a call at 2.45pm and deployed 10 personnel to the scene.

In a statement, the department said the fire was believed to have been caused by an overload in the building's circuitry system.

The damage was estimated at B$60,000. The fire also caused damage worth about B$3,000 to a vehicle.
