Comprehensive phlebotomy services will be available at the Pengiran Anak Puteri Hajah Muta-Wakillah Hayatul Bolkiah (PAPHMWHB) Health Centre in Gadong, starting August 1.

The new Phlebotomy Services Centre will be located on the second floor of the PAPHMWHB Health Centre, and operating hours will run from 7am to 3.30pm.

In an interview with the media yesterday, Lim Swee Yien, the Head of Phlebotomy Services and Central Specimen Reception Area at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital, said that the changes were made to ease the flow of patients requiring phlebotomy services within the catchment area of Bandar Seri Begawan, Ong Sum Ping, Kiarong and PAPHMWHB.

Three qualified members of staff will be available, in addition to priority queues where elderly patients will be given a special prioritised waiting line.

Located near the Rimba Dialysis Centre, the PAPHMWHB Health Centre will also feature a comprehensive outpatient clinic, along with a host of other facilities, including mother and child health services, dental care, pharmaceutical services, an eye clinic, psychiatric services and a healthy lifestyle clinic.

In relation to this, it was also announced that the Bandar Seri Begawan and Ong Sum Ping health centres will permanently close at 12.15pm on July 30.

Meanwhile, the Vaccination Centre and Occupational Health Division will continue to operate at Block 2G2:03 of Condominium Ong Sum Ping.

The PAPHMWHB Health Centre is extending its opening hours from 7am to 6pm, from Mondays to Thursdays and Saturdays. Registration hours will be extended from 7am to 5.45 pm, and patients are advised to register at least 30 minutes before their assigned appointments.
