Betatar Emerged Champions of 1st Spitfire Open Volleyball Championships

BERAKAS, BRUNEI-MUARA

 

Betatar emerged champions of the 1st Spitfire Open Volleyball Championships after defeating Putri Indonesia 3-0 in the women's final at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex.

 

The final was opened with a third place decider which was won by Revamp after ousting MK PVEB, who had started the second week of the championship trailing in second place only behind eventual winners Betatar.

 

The guest of honour at the event was H. E. Nurul Qomar, Ambassador of Indonesia to Brunei Darussalam, who also presented the prizes.

 

The tournament, which was organised by Spitfire with the cooperation of the Brunei Amateur Volleyball Association (BAVA), saw the opening rounds of matches contested on March 12.

 

Aura from Tawau, Sabah won the men's event of the tournament after winning 3-1 against Rajawali of Indonesia in the final.
