The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) personnel traded their uniform for the best festive outfits for a recent Hari Raya gathering held at the Kampong Pandan Community Hall in the Belait District.

The personnel were entertained with festive songs performed by their colleagues and also enjoyed delicious food.

"Belait District has a very close-knit community, so we emphasised that the personnel in this district host one (gathering) to celebrate the joyous occasion," said SAC Awang Mohd Irwan bin Haji Hambali, the Acting Commissioner of RBPF, in an interview with the media.

The RBPF tries to hold such celebrations for every district to enable the personnel to spend time with each other, he added.

On another note, SAC Awang Mohd Irwan reminded members of the force of their responsibility to remain vigilant and always be prepared to help the community wherever their duties take them.

Also present at the celebration were Legislative Council (LegCo) member YB Awang Mohd Yusuf bin Haji Dulamin, Belait District Officer, Haji Haris bin Othman, the Head of RBPF's Public Relations Unit, DSP Awang Haji Mohd Noor bin Awang Haji Abdul Rahman, the Acting Officer-in-Charge of the Belait Police District and Chairman of the RBPF Branch E, Superintendent Awang Ariffin bin Awnag Haji Jafaruddin, the Chairperson for PERKERTI for RPBF Branch E,  Dayang Rogayah binti Awang Mohd Nassir, department heads in the district as well as heads of mukims and villages.
