Porsche launched the latest generation of the classic two-seater 718 Boxster and 718 Boxster S convertible models last night at a ceremony held at the Radisson Hotel.

Both models are now available for the Brunei market and members of the public who are interested to take a closer look at the vehicles can head down to the Porsche showroom in Beribi.

Clement Chong, Deputy General Manager of QAF EuroKars in his speech said, "The 718 badge carries with it deep racing roots and rich motoring heritage. The new 718 Boxster and 718 Boxster S are well-poised to carry on its impressive legacy.

"Open, carefree and adventurous, they are lighter and can go further faster and more efficiently thanks to the intelligent use of the right materials. They don't excel and belong only on the track, but also on everyday city roads as well," he added.

He went on to point out that the new 718 Boxster and 718 Boxster S are made for sports, engineered to unite the sporting spirit of the legendary Porsche 718 with the sports car of tomorrow.

"They are not intended to be confined to a sheltered garage, but rather for the pleasure of everyday driving," he noted.

Celebrating the arrival of the turbo-charged four cylinder engine 718 model line, Porsche Asia Pacific has launched an online racing game titled the 718 Challange. Porsche fans and enthusiasts are invited to put their driving skills to the test online while manoeuvring the new Boxster S and 718 Cayman S down the twisting roads.
