Organisers of the Asia Pacific Rainforest Summit (APRS) 2016 will be announcing its photo competition shortlist tomorrow with more than 226 images compete for the photography competition which ended July 24, 2016.

The photos highlight the value of rainforests in the Asia-Pacific region which include photos of rainforests and forest landscapes, the communities who live in and around forests, forest products for trade, health or nutrition, diverse plants and animals that highlight the region's rich biodiversity, or anything else that expresses why our rainforests matter.

The winning photo recipient for The Audience's Choice Awards will be announced online at www.cifor.org on August 5, 2016. Meanwhile, The Jury's Choice Awards was already announced online on July 27. The winners receive cash prizes of US$500 to US$1,000.

All shortlisted images will be exhibited at the Brunei International Airport, Arrival Meeting Point Area from July 30 to August 14, 2016.
