The Public Affairs Section of the Embassy of the United States of America in Brunei Darussalam hosted an event to celebrate Hari Raya yesterday.

Guests included Brunei Government officials, entrepreneurs, members from non-government organisations (NGOs), US programme alumni, members of the media and more.

The event, which took place at the VIP Hall on the 4th floor of The Rizqun International Hotel, also included a welcome reception for its new Public Affairs Officer, Catherine Muller.

Muller stated, "This event is a great opportunity for me to learn about Brunei's rich and vibrant culture, and to meet many of our contacts in the community who have been key partners for the embassy across a wide range of programmes and issues."

"I look forward to learning more about Brunei Darussalam,working alongside the local community and strengthening'the bilateral relationship of the United States and Brunei through our people-topeople ties," she added.
