The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through the Department of Community Development, JAPEM with the cooperation of the Special Needs Services Section; Special Education Unit, Ministry of Education; Ophthalmology Department, Ministry of Health; and the Special Religious Education Unit, Ministry of Religious Affairs is organising the 2nd Braille, Orientation and Mobility Workshop. The workshop takes place at Pusat Bahagia in Kampung Pulaie, and aims to increase exposure on the visually impaired in together learn the proper and safe way to guide the differently-abled in daily activities.

The workshop was officiated by Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The function coincided with talk on eye health delivered by Pengiran Doctor Noor Affizan binti Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman, Deputy Head of the Ophthalmology Department at the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital.

Also held was a sharing session from the differently abled. The 5 day workshop is joined by 14 participants comprising government and private sector staff; volunteers; non-government organisation members; parents and individuals. Also present was Dayang Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
