SMSH Feted Excellents Students

Sayyidina Husain Secondary School (SMSH) recently held an award presentation ceremony for its students who have excelled in the 2015 GCE 'O' Level Examination.
The ceremony was aimed at celebrating the efforts and hard work of the students and also to provide inspiration and motivation to other students to excel in their academic especially to those who will sit for this year's GCSE 'O' Level and IGCSE examinations.
The guest of honour during the event was Awang Haji Metussin bin Haji Jais, Head of Cluster 2 at the Department of Schools under the Ministry of Education.
Also present were the school's Principal Zarina binti Haji Kadir, deputy principals, teachers, parents and students.
A total of 68 students were awarded for obtaining five to nine '0' Level credits where one student obtained nine 'O' Level credits, 20 obtained eight '0' Levels credits, another 20 obtained seven '0' Level credits, 19 obtained six 'O' Level credits and eight obtained five '0' Level credits.
Students from BTEC Diploma Level 2 in Art, Design and Media Programme were also presented with the certificates of achievement.
Students who are in the MP3 programme were also awarded based on their academic performance and positive improvement.
The Excellent Student Award went to Awang Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahim for obtaining nine 'O' Levels, while the Exemplary Student Award went to Awang Mohammad Affiq bin Jufferi and the Potential Student Award went to Dayang Nurul Diyana binti Haji Morsidi.
Overall, this year result has shown a positive and promising achievement and improvement compared to previous years.
The school thanked all teachers who worked hard in helping out the students to thrive to their maximum potential.
