Deloitte & Touché Bleed For Good Cause

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

Some 50 people comprising staff, friends and relative from Deloitte & Touché rolled up their sleeves and bleed for a good cause during a blood donation drive held at its main office in the capital yesterday.

The drive was spearheaded by partners of Deloitte & Touche Brunei, Daniel Ng and Pengiran Haji Moksin bin Pengiran Haji Yusof.

According to Daniel Ng, the drive was held in conjunction with the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) campaign dubbed 'Impact Day'.

'Impact Day' is an annual celebration of Deloitte's commitment to give back to the community that we work and live in," said Daniel Ng.

"On this special day, we encourage all our branches from across the Southeast Asia region to take a day out of the office to contribute their time for the benefit of their communities," he added.

This year's Impact Day was held on Friday, August 26.

Members of the Blood Donation Centre from the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital were on hand to provide assistance during the two-hour long campaign.

It is hoped that the campaign will encourage volunteerism and boost the amount of blood donated to save life for patients undergoing surgical operations or other cases.
