Boustead Sdn Bhd is now the apppointed authorised distributor in Brunei for the Volvo Group's two powerhouse truck brands  the Volvo Trucks and UD Trucks.

Lim Jin Lee, Executive Manager of Boustead Sdn Bhd, during the sidelines of the launch of the new dealership held at the Bridex Hall 2, said Boustead will offer customers excellent Volvo after-market services.

"With more than 40 years of experience in the automotive industry, we are confident and pleased to be the authorised distributor of Volvo Trucks and UD Trucks. With these two powerhouse brands distributed by Boustead in Brunei, we hope to thrive and meet all ofyour business needs. With both Volvo Group and Boustead Sdn Bhd striving to provide excellent aftermarket services, customers will be pleased to know that a trained team is ready for on-site service to fleet owners at their convenience.

The dealership is also in theprocess of preparing for 24/7 service hours, where in the event of a breakdown, the customer will be able to contact Boustead Sdn Bhd for repairs even during off-peak hours.

Mats Nilsson, President of Volvo Group, Malaysia, at the press conference highlighted Volvo Group's enthusiasm on the new dealership and its confidence in Boustead Sdn Bhd. He highlighted that the new dealership is yet another testament of the group's continuous efforts in network expansion in Southeast Asia.

The new dealership will also serve as the service centre for both Volvo Trucks and UD Trucks. The state-of-the-art dealership's design and service area is strategically located for the ease of transporters from Muara port, the main port of arrival in Brunei.

The commercial facility area is about 25,000sq feet, which includes facilities such as a parts warehouse with a cargo lift, workshop bays for four trucks, special tools and engine repair room, a training facility area and a service reception area for customers.

Present as guest of honour was Pengiran Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Managing Director of Brunei Shell Marketing Sdn Bhd.

Also present were Dato Paduka Lim Beng Thai, Managing Director of Boustead Sdn Bhd and senior management team from Volvo Group and Boustead Sdn Bhd.

Among the other highlights during the event were the unveiling of the Volvo and UD trucks.
