Local filmmaker Awang Mohd Adam bin Mohd Ali, also known as Adam Groves and his film production company Visual Dimensions Production (VDP) were at FreshCo in Kota Batu last night to promote the action-comedy movie 'Primajaya' ahead of the screenings in local cinemas in less than a month.

Film enthusiasts in attendance were able to listen to Groves share his experiences during a live talk where he talked about the challenges of film-making.

Groves started his production company initially specialising in wedding and event videography coverage. Groves sets himself apart by providing a movie-like touch in his services.

The local filmmaker has been involved in the videography business for quite some time, and some of his works, including his web-hit series 'Break', which he is well-known for among local film enthusiasts, can be seen on YouTube showcasing the filmmaking and acting capability of the young generation in Brunei.

'Primajaya' marks an important milestone not just for VDP as their first entry into movie making, but also for Groves who has been involved in videography for 10 years.

Those in attendance took the opportunity to take photos with Groves as well as cast of the movie - Hazim Hamzah, Aliff Ali, Dewi Hamdillah and Kenny Yong - who were present at the event.

Primajaya tells the story of a local teen who turned his life around after assuming a superhero identity named 'Bahia in order to fight crime in a fictional city. Bahlol was also the original name of the movie before it was changed to 'Primajaya'. The film took over a year to complete.

The film directed by Groves is set to premiere September 15.
