Another house collapsed yesterday in Kampong Ayer, this time in Kg Burong Pinggai, the second such mishap within this week in the water village.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department, the unfortunate incident occurred around midday yesterday and a fire boat from Sg. Kebun Fire Station was dispatched to the scene with three personnel led by ABK 143 Kelali bin Haji Munchit.

Thirteen occupants managed to escape from the house. Losses were yet to be determined and no injuries were reported.

Meanwhile, in another incident, the Fire and Rescue Department said electrical fault was blamed for a blaze yesterday at around 2.30pm in Kg Kiulap. A fire engine with five personnel led by ASO Mohammad bin Tarip reached the scene upon getting information about the mishap. No injuries were reported.
