Temburong Police District through the Bangar Police Station's Neighbourhood Watch Unit held a briefing for members of the Neighbourhood Watch of Kampong Puni on Sunday.
The briefing was delivered by Inspector Pengiran Muhammad Adib bin Pengiran Kamarudin, supervising detective officer of Temburong Police District.
The meeting started with a welcoming remark delivered by Inspector Pengiran Muhammad Adib, as the representative of the Officer-in-Charge of Bangar Police Station. Present at the meeting was Abdul Rahman bin Merusin, the Penghulu of Mukim Bangar as the advisor to the Neighbourhood Watch along with Haji Sulaiman bin Haji Ahad, Village Head of Kampong Belingus who is also Acting Village Head of Kampong Puni.
Also in attendance was Haji Jainih @ Zaini bin Haji Tahir, the Village Head of Kampong Batang Tuau.
The meeting was to share the vision and mission of Neighbourhood Watch as well as the role and establishment of the committee and the law of the country.
The inspector stressed on the importance of sharing information relating to any criminal activities with the police. This is among the measures in maintaining peace and stability in the community as well as public.
He also reminded members of the Neighbourhood Watch to be on the lookout for the Pokémon Go players and to not allow anyone to trespass prohibited areas.
