A twenty-nine-year-old local man was jailed for four months by the Bandar Magistrate's Court yesterday after he pleaded guilty to multiple charges of theft.

Muhammad Rayyan Adam bin Abdullah Mulok @ Roston anak Mulok who works as a cleaner at a school in Jalan Muara stole from students and teachers by rummaging through their bags from inside two classrooms on the afternoon of August 17, 2016, and a teacher's lounge at the school on August 25, 2016.

DPP Emily Goh further told Magistrate Hajah Ervy Sufitriana binti Haji Abdul Rahman that the defendant stole cash amounting to $268 and three mobile phones.

The security guards grew suspicious of the defendant's strange behaviour and found him out after the theft at the teacher's lounge. The man was subsequently handed over to the police.
