Politeknik Brunei Concluded Entrepreneurship Workshop

Politeknik Brunei's entrepreneurship workshop 'Enterprising Brunei: Innovating Youth 2016' came to a close yesterday with an award presentation ceremony at the Once Stop Centre of the institute's main campus at Ong Sum Ping.
Acting Director of Politeknik Brunei, Denis Ho Mun Tai, officiated the ceremony as guest of honour and presented awards to the best winning group and presenter.
Six groups involving 120 students were judged throughout the four-day workshop to select the best winning group and best presenter.
The 120 students comprised those from Politeknik Brunei, Dull Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College, Raja Isteri Girls High School (STPRI), Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Primary School, and Mabohai Primary School.
Brilliant Group of Politeknik Brunei bagged the first prize, while the best presenter award went to Ahza Nur Mustaffa bin Haji Suffian of YSHHB Primary School.
The acting director later presented tokens of appreciation to guest speaker Mohammed Arshed Butt from Solomon Ash from the United Kingdom, main sponsor Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) as well as other supporters of the event.
The ceremony began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by an overview of the workshop presented by Dr Malai Zeiti binti Sheikh Abdul Hamid, Event Project Manager cum Head of Centre for Innovative Teaching and Learning (CiTL) at Politeknik Brunei.
The workshop was directed towards encouraging entrepreneurship and improving social and personal skills of the participants.
