An Indonesian man was produced at the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrates Court for one charge under the Excise Order 2006.

32-year old Ahmat Alifin pleaded guilty for possessing 26 cartons and 9 packs of cigarettes of various brands as well as cash totalling $363 during a raid at a staff house in Jalan Pasir Berakas. The defendant was sentenced to 13 months imprisonment in defaulting of payment of fine amounting $21,000. All contraband were seized to be destroyed and the cigarette sales proceed was seized.
