The Lao Architects and Civil Engineers (ALACE) Expo 2016 will be held at Vientiane Center in Vientiane Capital from 7-10 April.

President of the Association of ALACE Mr. Phonesay Southiphong made the announcement at a press conference held on 5 April.

Over 60 booths from 40 companies of Laos and Thailand will have products on display for sale at Vientiane Center.

The products will include several types of construction materials from roofing and toilet products, to cement from the neighboring country of Thailand.

The expo is partly being held so producers of construction materials, architects and engineers can have the opportunity to exchange information and experiences.

There will be many activities including an ALACE competition, an ALACE best design competition, and a design and architecture consultancy.

A meeting of ALACE will also be held at the expo to review the previous achievements of ALACE over the past year. A seminar on the architecture vocation in the ASEAN states and region will be part of the event.
