Chinese fencer Zhou Jingjing claimed gold in the women's individual epee category B at the Rio Paralympics by defeating Thailand's Jana Saysunee in the final.
Zhou, 29, took the match 15-10, securing her first Paralympic fencing title at Carioca Arena 3.
"I'm so excited to win the gold medal bout against an excellent athlete," Zhou said. "I attacked more than her using a strategy based on the fact that she's taller and longer than me. I'm short but this is not a disadvantage: I could attack more because of that."

Teenager Zhang Beats World Record To Win 100m Breaststroke SB11 Gold
RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese teenager Zhang Xiaotong set a new world record to win gold in the women's 100m breaststroke SB11 at the Rio Olympics on Tuesday.
The 17-year-old clocked one minute 23.02 seconds to smash the previous record held by Liesette Bruinsma of the Netherlands by 1.61 seconds.
Bruinsma claimed silver in 1:25.81 and Sweden's Maja Reichard took bronze in 1:26.60. Enditem
