KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

A 24-year-old woman was found dead in a pool of a blood after she fell from the 36th floor of a condominium near KL Sentral.

A passer-by found the body of the woman, identified as Chan, from Bukit Mertajam, sprawled on the ground floor of the condominium on Thursday.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Sharul Osman Mansor said police were alerted on the incident at about 5pm.

"A luggage bag, believed to be the victim's, was found on the 36th floor of the condominium block," he said.

ACP Sharul said the woman was not a resident there but CCTV footage showed her entering the building at about 4.30pm.

"We have informed her family and based on her mother, the victim worked in Bayan Lepas, Penang," he said.

Police have classified the case as sudden death.
