The COVID-19 Steering Committee Special Meeting was chaired by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. The meeting took place yesterday morning at Istana Nurul Iman. Also present were His Majesty's sons, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, and His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

 

 The meeting commenced with the reading of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs.

 

Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Jaafar, Minister of Health in a briefing explained on the latest COVID-19 situation in the country. The meeting among others discussed on the government's efforts in curbing COVID-19 for the citizens and residents' well-being.
