Kenya's anti-terrorism police on Wednesday arrested the widow of slain and controversial Muslim cleric Sheikh Aboud Rogo over alleged links with Sunday's attack by three women on a police station in the port city of Mombasa.

 

     More than ten police officers raided the home of Hania Said Saggar in the coastal area of Kikambala, Kilifi county, in the evening.  (Kenya-Security)

     ABUJA -- Arsonists early Wednesday attacked a transmission office of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), the country's state-run TV, in Onitsha city of the southeastern Anambra state, police said.

 

     Confirming the incident to Xinhua, Anambra State police chief, Sam Okaula said no life was lost but some equipment was burned during the attack.  (Nigeria-Attack)

     COPENHAGEN -- Two more cars were set ablaze late on Tuesday and in the early hours of Wednesday in a series of car arsons that plagued the Danish capital since mid-August, local media reported.

     WASHINGTON -- The United States and Israel on Wednesday signed an unprecedented new military aid deal that will give the Israeli military 38 billion U.S. dollars from fiscal year 2019 to 2028.

 

     The new 10-year deal, which constitutes the single largest pledge of military assistance in U.S. history, includes 33 billion U.S. dollars in Foreign Military Financing funds and an unprecedented 5 billion commitment in missile defense assistance.  (US-Israel-Military Aid)

     HOUSTON -- A man was killed and another injured on Wednesday after a fiery tank explosion rocked Corpus Christi, a city in the southern part of the U.S. state of Texas.

 

     The explosion occurred at a Haas-Anderson Construction site before dawn and it took firefighters about an hour to extinguish the fire, which was now contained to a tank area, according to ABC13.  (US-Plant Blast)  Enditem
